map of switzerland

Currently, 85% of home care provided in Switzerland is done so by way of non-profit home care providers and subsidized by the government or compulsory health insurance.  The receipt of this care is contingent upon physician prescription for care and does not cover non-medical needs such as companionship, wellness, or light housekeeping; the latter is the financial responsibility of the individual receiving care or the family member sponsoring care.  With an ever ageing population, and a more mobile, active workforce drawing families apart, Right at Home is in a unique position to provide care, both companion and medical, to those adults that are 65+ in Switzerland, which currently make up 17% of the Swiss population – this number is expected to grow to 25% by 2050.
