map of spain

There are currently 8.1 Million people in Spain over the age of 65, that number is expected to double to 16.3 Million people, or 31% of the same Spanish population, by 2050.  While the goal of social services in Spain is to keep the elderly in their homes for as long as possible, a lack of resources has resulted in only about 1% of the elderly receiving home care services provided by only 20% of communes.  Of course, the services currently available to the Spanish population do not cover the demand for home care services, leaving many ageing adults, and their families, to rely on services provided by informal caregivers.  Private home care services, such as those offered by Right at Home, have the ability to provide the ageing communities of Spain not only with educated, managed caregivers, but also with personalized, flexible in home care plans, both of which allow ageing loved ones to live independently in their own homes, for as long as possible.
